King's Team exists to provide a Christian camping experience for kids between the ages of 12 and 15 who are graduates of Royal Family Kids Camp. |
| ABOUT CAMP |
  King's Team Camp is a one-week residential summer camp designed for kids ages 12-15. Most of the campers are graduates of Royal Family Kids Camp ("RFKC").(arvada.rfkc.org) These kids have been removed from their homes and placed in the fostercare program because of situations involving abuse and/or neglect. Since 2003 camp has been held in various locations but for the past 3 years we have been going to Lutheran Valley Retreat ("LVR") near Woodland Park and Divide, Colorado in the Pike National Forest. Campers are teamed with adult counselor/guides in groups of 6 to 8. All adults are volunteers and have been carefully screened and trained to work with teens and teen-life issues. The various activites at camp are led by LVR Staff with King's Team Staff participating along with the campers. Our hope is that these teen campers will build relationships with God, other adults and other teens while experiencing God's creation in a safe and wholesome environment. The campers build confidence and self--esteem and leave camp with a host of positive memories. |
