August 3– August 7, 2008

Camper Registration begins at 9:00 on Sunday, August 3 across the street from Arvada Covenant Church at 5420 Ward Rd., Arvada, CO  

Campers will return to Arvada Covenant Church Thursday August 7

approximately 4:00 p.m., and parents will pick them up by 4:30.

WHERE IS CAMP?

Our Camp will be held at Lutheran Valley Ranch, near Divide Colorado (for more information on LVR click here Lutheran Valley Retreat

The teens will be transported by bus and/or vans throughout the week.

WHAT IS THE COST?

There is no cost to be a volunteer of our Kings Team Staff.  All costs are covered by donations.

      MISSION STATEMENT    

King’s Team exists to provide a Christian camping experience for kids 12-15 who are graduates of Royal Family Kids Camp. 

STAFFING/VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Because of the needs of the kids who come to Kings Team, we maintain a ratio of one counselor to two kids. In addition we need various staff members to oversee various activities while at camp.  Consequently, Kings Team has an overall ratio of staff to campers of one to one.   For the 2008 camp year we are anticipating up to 35 campers and therefore need 35 adult counselors and staff members.

QUALIFICATION AND KEY DATES FOR STAFF/Volunteer MEMBERS

No special skills are required except an ability and desire to reflect God's love to kids, work well with other team members and a willingness to be used by God in the lives of others.

Each staff/volunteer member will need to be interviewed, fingerprinted and have a background check.   There is also a one day mandatory training that each volunteer must attend.  Each volunteer will be committing to the full week at camp.  They should plan to be available from 9:00am Sunday, August 3 until 5:00pm Thursday, August 7.

Some key dates to remember prior to camp are:

Staff/Volunteer applications are due by June 15th, 2008.

Training will be on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 in Arvada, CO.  Time:  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
