WHEN IS CAMP?

July 12 - July 17, 2009

Camper Registration begins at 9:00 on Sunday, July 12 across the street from Arvada Covenant Church at 5420 Ward Rd., Arvada, CO  

Campers will return to Arvada Covenant Church Friday, July 17

approximately 2:00 p.m., and parents will pick them up by 2:30 p.m.

WHERE IS CAMP?

Our Camp will be held at Lutheran Valley Ranch, near Divide Colorado (for more information on LVR click here Lutheran Valley Retreat

The teens will be transported by bus and/or vans throughout the week.

WHAT IS THE COST?

There is no cost to be a volunteer of our Kings Team Staff.  All costs are covered by donations.

      MISSION STATEMENT    

King’s Team exists to provide a Christian camping experience for kids 12-15 who are graduates of Royal Family Kids Camp. 

STAFFING/VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Because of the needs of the kids who come to Kings Team, we maintain a ratio of one counselor to two-three campers.  For the 2009 camp year we are anticipating approximately 30 campers and need 18 adult counselors and staff members.

QUALIFICATION AND KEY DATES FOR STAFF/Volunteer MEMBERS

No special skills are required except an ability and desire to reflect God's love to kids, work well with other team members and a willingness to be used by God in the lives of others.

Each staff/volunteer member will need to be interviewed, fingerprinted, have a background check conducted and have a recent physical (dated no earlier than July 17, 2007).   There is also a one day mandatory training that each volunteer must attend.  Each volunteer will be committing to the full week at camp.  They should plan to be available from 9:00am Sunday, July 12 until 5:00pm Friday, July 17.

Some key dates to remember prior to camp are:

Staff/Volunteer applications are due by June 1st, 2009.

Training will be on Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at Arvada Covenant Church in Arvada, CO.  Time:  8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
